Our wonderful Jute Bags are versatile, durable, cost effective and completely bio-degradable.
Jute is a natural fibre and is grown on small farms in the West Bengal region of India - it is known as the “golden fibre”.
The fibres in jute are uneven in diameter and are highly resistant to stretching but individually brittle - so they develop microscopic fractures during the weaving process. These two factors give jute its natural slightly rough appearance.
Well known for its industrial uses, jute is also ideal for attractive gift packaging, especially when used as a clever contrast for luxury products.
